A few reasons why:

- Coat color -

(the number one reason that animals are overlooked in our shelter!)

- Breed prejudice -

(second most common reason animals in our shelter are overlooked)

- Size -

(third most common reason, which is the only factor that really makes any sense to us)

 - Senior/older pets - 

(are often times easier to find homes for than pets of ordinary color or larger size)

    - Medical problems -  

(often times we will actually assit with known medical issues finacially)

 - Shyness/not socially adjusted -

(If you were abused, abandoned or tortured...you too would have social issues. 

Has someone embraced you?  We hope so.  We also hope our shy dogs are embraced one day too.)

    - Physical problems such as deafness, blindness, physical deformities or incontinence -

(I'm sure one day, we will all face one of the above. 

I hope we're not challenged with being homeless too)

Please, help change the stigma affecting these shelter pets.
